Spending Time With Your Father: Global Perspectives On Fatherhood
The study conducted interviews and homestays to research how people around the world are impacted by their father and the role he played in their life. 22 countries and every continent was visited to capture advice on how to be a good dad to document the shared experience humanity has with their father.

Nigel will apply lessons learned about male leadership from the people he met during his travels to his teaching and business interests. Long-term, he wants to apply these lessons in his role to his future family, where he will be the father.
During Nigel’s time at Vanderbilt, he played varsity football, became founding president of his fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha, and was elected president of the school of engineering.
Today, Nigel is a Private Equity Associate at Sovereign’s Capital in Atlanta, Georgia.

TRAVEL STORY
I visited Jordan and met a friend who took me to a Jordanian soccer match. He told me on the way to the game that I was probably the first American to ever see this team play. During the match, a man in front of our section led the crowd in different cheers. I joined where I could, until my friend yelled to the man conducting the crowd to alert him that I was an American and this was my first time in Jordan. The man immediately climbed through the crowd to bring me to the front and lead a cheer. Phones were out in the crowd, and I knew a video of me would surface on the internet. The next morning I received a WhatsApp message with a video. The professional team had posted a video of my chant to their website, and thousands of comments had already been posted. My favorite comment was, "OBAMA CAME TO WATCH OUR TEAM." (I am Black.)
